Dr Mallika Goyal is a Senior consultant,
Retina-Vitreous & Uveitis Service at the
Apollo Eye Hospital, Apollo Hospitals,
Hyderabad, India. In her extensive
experience of over 12 years as a senior
consultant of Retina-Vitreous & Uveitis
Services, Dr. Goyal has successfully treated
several Indian and international patients
with varied complexities, and has gained
strong expertise in the Retina-Vitreous &
Uveitis Services subspecialty.
Dr. Goyal has done her MD Ophthalmology from
Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic
Sciences, All India Institute of Medical
Sciences, New Delhi, India, 1992. Following
which she also successfully completed the
Diplomat of the National Board,
Ophthalmology in 1993.
She received three years post-MD training in
Retina, Vitreous and Uveitis at Dr. Rajendra
Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All
India Institute of Medical Sciences, New
Delhi, India from 1993 to 1995. This was
followed by one year fellowships at LV
Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India;
Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia Pa, USA,
Barnes Jewish Hospital, St Louis, Mo, USA;
and Vitreous-Retina-Macula Consultants of
New York (Dr Yannuzzi�s group).
She has received the Honor Award from
American Society of Retina Specialists in
August 2011, Gold Medal from Indian
Intraocular Implant and Refractive Surgery
Society, and Accomplished Ophthalmologist
Award from Andhra Pradesh Academy of
Sciences, Hyderabad, India in the year 1999.
She has also been a recipient of various
awards and honors during her professional
tenure.
Dr Goyal has published widely in
peer-reviewed national and international
journals, and has presented research papers
at various prestigious forums and meetings -
international and national. She was also
invited for presentation in the annual
meeting of the American Society of Retina
Specialists.
She is a member of the American Society of
Retina Specialists, and several other
National, and State Ophthalmology Societies
of India and General Secretary of Hyderabad
Ophthalmologists' Association; Chairman
Scientific Committee of AP Ophthalmologic
Association.
